YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is more than just swimming lessons, basketball games and a skate park.

In fact, the Y is about to release its 2023 numbers, showing it provided services to nearly 119,000 people across both counties, and made a $7M impact on the community as a whole.

Trish Feinthel, chief operations officer of YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties, said she is proud to be part of the community.

“There is something for everyone at our Y,” explained Feinthel. “Historically, we have always been known for high-quality fitness, aquatics, child care and camp. But we are also extremely proud of the free, donor-supported wellness opportunities we provide to the people in our community who need us the most, such as our Pathway program participants. Pathway programs like the THRIVE Cancer Wellness program and Veterans Wellness Initiative are unique to the Y. And because those programs are made possible through the generosity of donors, we get to be the conduit of community members caring for each other.”

The Y is more than just a gym, added Michael Reisman, director of communications. It is a place where people “build friendships, get active, and support one another.”
