YMCA celebrates reopening of Fairless Hills branch YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties, along with more than 350 volunteers, donors, elected officials, staff and members of the community, celebrated the reopening of the fully renovated Fairless Hills branch during a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.
U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), in his remarks to the crowd, congratulated the Y and its donors for raising over $30 million needed to revitalize the Fairless Hills branch and expand the Doylestown branch.
“The Y has been the fortunate recipient of a tremendous amount of public support due to the efforts of elected officials. This is demonstrative that it takes everyone, regardless of opinion or issue, to come together for the greater good,” said Fitzpatrick.
Also speaking at the ribbon-cutting were Dan Bradley, president of Select Medical Outpatient Division; Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Auto Group; and Tom Lynch, president and co-founder of the Danaher Lynch Family Foundation.
These leadership donors supported the project and helped to kick start momentum around the “For a Better Us” campaign supporting the full renovation of the Y’s Fairless Hill branch and expansion of its Doylestown branch.
The revitalized branch at Fairless Hills, which closed for renovation in December of 2020, includes a state of the art Wellness Center, and renovated pool with a new observation area. The facility also boasts a refurbished gymnasium, three new program studios, a community gathering area and additional parking, along with a brand new, on-site Novacare Rehabilitation Center.
Fairless Hills YMCA is now open full operating hours, and for new members, there is no Join Fee for the month of April. More information about the renovated branch at Fairless Hills can be found at ymcabucks.org/locations/fairless-hills-branch.
