Writers reflect community ideas and issues

This message is regarding a matter that should be of interest to any New Hope resident that believes in the importance of transparent local government, and public participation in its deliberations and decisions.
There will be a presentation by New Hope Speaks (NHS) at the borough council work session from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Borough Hall.
NHS is scheduled to present a detailed argument, citing the need to increase public knowledge and public participation in the deliberations of the council by continuing to make live Zoom available. Its report also lists the many reasons why this option is not only desirable but essential to public involvement with its government.

Simply voting in municipal elections is not enough. Please show up, listen and speak up.
Charles Huchet, New Hope
