World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day celebration set in Doylestown

A 20th anniversary celebration of World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day will be held at Koru Real Wellness in Doylestown 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 27.

Held each year, World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day promotes these ancient practices and “One World - One Breath” events, which are held in 100s of cities in more than 80 nations on six continents all on the same day to highlight the practices’ health benefits.

The program will include free classes and demonstrations of different styles of Tai Chi, including a fan form. The event is free and open to the public – no experience necessary.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong for health evolved over several thousand years in China, and now are growing in popularity worldwide. Research has shown that Tai Chi and Qi Gong can help reduce anxiety, depression and relieve chronic pain conditions. Regular practice can boost the immune system, improve respiratory function, burn calories, dramatically improve balance, provide cardiovascular benefit and provide powerful stress management tools.
