Woods Services in Langhorne is inviting the community to join its residents and staff for the third annual Winter Wonderland Family Festival and Holiday Market 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
A highlight of the free, family-friendly event will be the arrival of Santa on a Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company truck at 6:30 p.m. on Friday for the official tree-lighting ceremony.
There will be indoor activities and games for children to enjoy, including visits (every child receives a gift) and pictures with Santa (bring your camera), performances from the Woods choir, DJ music, a craft market with local artisans selling gifts, and complimentary hot chocolate and soft pretzels. Common Grounds Café, Woods’ open-to-the-public, on-campus coffee and convenience shop will be selling specialty coffee drinks and snacks. Food trucks will also offer refreshments for purchase.
Woods’ social enterprise programs, including the Yellow Daffodil Flower and Gift Shop, BeechTree Bath and Body Products, and Woods Wear apparel company will be represented in the holiday craft market with items for sale. These programs, along with Common Grounds Café, create jobs for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, emotional and behavioral concerns, cerebral palsy, and other physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities.
Woods Services Campus is at 40 Martin Gross Drive.
