Barre will perform his 50th Anniversary Celebration of Jethro Tull at the Sellersville Theater, 24 W. Temple Ave., Sellersville, at 7:30 p.m. April 21, with special guest band members including original Tull drummer Clive Bunker and longtime Tull keyboardist Dee Palmer, who recorded with Tull from 1968 through 1980.

Barre and the band will perform a career-spanning set of many, if not all, of the Tull classics fans have loved for so many years, along with deep catalog tracks from the band’s various albums.

One of the top rock guitarists, Barre’s Tull debut was on the band’s classic second album, “Stand Up,” and he remained with the band until its demise in 2011.

Jethro Tull’s success includes several chart-topping albums, 11 gold and five platinum albums, a Grammy Award for “Crest Of A Knave” in 1988, and album sales exceeding 60 million units.

Barre can be heard on “Locomotive Breath,” “Minstrel In The Gallery,” “Songs From The Wood” and “Aqualung,” which was voted one of best solos according to Guitar Player and Guitar World Magazines, as well as on the Grammy-winning “Crest Of A Knave.”
