Weekly outdoor antiques market opening in Sellersville, vendors wanted

Posted

Pickers Junction Antiques of Sellersville is launching a weekly Outdoor Antique Market in Sellersville’s Main Street Cultural District.

Located at 220 N. Main St., Sellersville, the market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m to 1 p.m., May 28 through Oct. 29, in the Pickers Junction parking lots on Main Street and the parking area behind its building, along the train tracks.

“There is always something unique here,” said Leslie O’Brien, co-owner of Pickers Junction with her husband Tim. “We hope to bring a lot of new people to Sellersville with the Outdoor Antique Market.

“We are actively accepting antique vendor applications now,” said O’Brien. “It’s very inexpensive for vendors and a great way to connect to a large group of collectors.” Applications can be made by phone at 215-257-5008 or by email to: leslieob6@gmail.com.

“New items come into the shop every day,” O’Brien said. “You never know what you’ll find here. The best discovery by a collector here was an unknown Marilyn Monroe film purchased for $3 that later fetched $1.1 million.”

Pickers Junction Antiques features 21 internal co-op vendor booths with items including vintage jewelers, collectible guitars and instruments, antique furniture, glassware, paintings, home furnishings and much more. New items arrive every day. The outdoor antique market will host 40 tables and booths every weekend.

We are reviving Sellersville and revitalizing our downtown with new businesses and events,” said borough council member Kathy Hallman.

“There is an exciting and growing energy in Sellersville that centers around our Cultural District. The Sellersville Theater anchors the downtown with Pickers Junction Antiques and its myriad of collectors complimenting our arty vibe,” said Stephen Barth, Sellersville’s economic development consultant.
