Weekly Coronavirus Briefing for June 15

Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,975,031

Harrisburg — The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed that as of June 15, the statewide cumulative total cases of COVID-19 is 2,975,031.

There are 2,458,495 confirmed cases and 516,536 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases.

The Pennsylvania death registry reported a cumulative total of 45,580 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

Numbers by county as of June 15

  • Bucks County: 132,561 cases and 1,936 deaths
  • Chester County: 100,190 cases and 1,184 deaths
  • Delaware County: 119,559 cases and 1,893 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 95,206 cases and 1,270 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 167,690 cases and 2,368 deaths
  • Northampton County: 85,100 cases and 1,120 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 331,765 cases and 5,160 deaths

The Department of Health continues to provide the public with extensive and frequently updated data on both the COVID-19 dashboard and the vaccine dashboard. Both dashboards provide an interactive experience for the user to review statewide and local-level data updated daily.

The department will continue to provide data via online dashboards; however,  the dashboards will be updated on a weekly basis.
