A free public information session about The Penn State Master Watershed Steward Program in Bucks County will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Bucks County Extension Office auditorium, 1282 Almshouse Road, Doylestown. Pre-register by calling 215-345-3283.
The program is training a new class of volunteers this spring. After training, volunteers engage in projects to help protect streams, rivers and wildlife habitat.
The training program begins Thursday, April 4, and continues subsequent Thursdays from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. through July. Training is held at the Bucks County Extension office and local partnering environmental organizations. The curriculum also features three hands-on Saturday field trips.
