Warrington Lions rubber duck race offers chance to win $10,000

Posted

The Warrington Lions Club will host its second rubber duck race fundraiser at Warrington Day, at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25, in the Neshaminy Creek at Lower Nike Park.
Everyone is invited to adopt one or more of the 3,000 ducks that will race for chances to win cash prizes. Ducks can be adopted for $5 each or five for $20. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Warrington Lions Club or through its website at warringtonlions.org. Attendees are welcome to watch the race, but ticket purchasers need not be present to win.

Warrington Lions Club treasurer and expert duck wrangler Russ Diamond promised unparalleled excitement as 3,000 ducks make their way down the creek toward the finish line. “You could be crowned Warrington’s Lucky Ducky 2021,” Diamond said. “Adopt a duck today. Quack!”
Ten cash prizes range from $300 to $25 and the first 10 ducks finishing the race have a chance to win a $10,000 bonus prize. Friends of the Lions can adopt ducks and find race rules at warringtonlions.org.
