Warrington breaks ground for new police station


Warrington Township is breaking ground on a new police station Thursday, June 13.

The new police station is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020 and will feature a high-tech prisoner processing center, a “hoteling” office for collaboration with outside agencies, and an in-house training center.

Police Chief Daniel Friel will open the ceremony. He will be followed by Fred Gaines, chairman, Warrington Township Board of Supervisors; Ruth Schemm, vice chair; Shirley Yannich, supervisor and police liaison; Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick; state Sen. Maria Collett; state Rep. Todd Polinchock.
