Warrington announces contract for road improvements

Warrington Township awarded Harris Blacktopping Inc. of Washington Crossing the 2022 Road Improvement Program contract at the board of supervisors meeting May 10.

Fred R. Gaines, chair, said the supervisors are committed to keeping the township roadways safe and durable all-weather traveling surfaces for all our residents, benefiting commuters, commercial carriers, delivery and service providers and leisure travelers.

He said. “Warrington Township continues to invest in our infrastructure, having allocated over $1 million per year over the last 10 years to repave our Township roadways.”

Roads to be paved are as follows: Philadelphia Avenue, Freedoms Way (Easton Road to Greensward North), Scarlet Oak Drive (Red Oak Drive to Township Open Space), Buttercup Boulevard (Pickertown Road to Bellflower Boulevard), Primrose Place, Chatfield Drive, Wyckwood Road, Folly road (Portion), Kansas Road (Portion).

The total cost of the award is $1,000,651. (Adjusted cost of $913,559.50 excluding residential concrete replacement costs.)
