Under the direction of Dr. David McConnell, Voices Chorale NJ will perform “Shakespeare in Love,” a concert of Shakespeare’s works set to a variety of musical interpretations.
Performances will be held May 10 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 810 W State St., Trenton, N.J., and May 11 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton, N.J. Both concerts begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at voiceschoralenj.org. Advance ticket prices are: $30 preferred seating, $20 general admission; $10 students and children.
Shakespeare’s poetry and drama come alive through this unique program, with works reflecting a range of styles: classical, contemporary, and jazz influences in compositions by Matthew Harris, Bob Chilcott, Debra Scroggins, George Shearing, J. Edmund Hughes and Mary Ellen Loose.
