Veteran and daughter open GI Juice & Java in Buckingham

Posted
GI Juice & Java is now open in Buckingham Green Shopping Center on Route 202 in Buckingham.

A juice and coffee bar serving organic, organically grown and local produce and products, it also serves a variety of goods made by veteran-owned companies, such as hand-blended teas from The Skirted Soldier and Black Rifle Coffee.

Tiffany Pedone opened this store with her mother, Sherry Carlin, a 20-plus year military veteran who served from Vietnam to Operation Iraqi Freedom. After her last deployment in Iraq, Carlin retired from the military and worked as a government contractor in Afghanistan for nearly eight years.

Pedone moved her family (Tiffany, Steve, Franco, 6, and Luca, 4) back to Bucks County last year. An avid juicer and coffee drinker, she saw a need and decided to open GI Juice & Java.

“We are a family-friendly juice and coffee bar with kids’ seating and juice menu along with healthy snacks and food items,” Pedone said.
That includes “superfood smoothies, cold-pressed juices, fresh-squeezed juice and quality brewed coffees, including keto friendly bulletproof coffee meal replacements. We also carry a full line of CBD products and incorporate CBD into many drinks as well.”

Local woodworker Scott Christensen custom made nearly everything in the store, utilizing locally timbered ash that was a victim of the ash borer and eco-harvested Monkey pod for a 16-foot bar and bench.
Children can draw on the chalk board while mom sips her Blooming tea or superfood smoothie.

“We serve only biodegradable, compostable and recyclable disposable products, and work with many local farms for our produce selection. We are serving locally made items, such as nut butters from Nutty Novelties, salads from Blue Moon Acres and selections from Sole Kombucha in Dublin to name a few.”
