Under water


The canal path beside the Black Bass Inn in Lumberville, is under water April 9, after the Delaware River was seen rising over its banks there. The river crested at 15.1 feet in Frenchtown, N.J., and 16.98 feet in Stockton, N.J., in the early morning hours April 9, following 2 to 3 inches of rain over several days, according to a National Weather Service meteorologist in Mt. Holly, N.J. Lumberville, on the Pennsylvania side of the river, is located between the two New Jersey towns. Both crests were approximately a foot below flood stage, the NWS said.
