Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, which was announced last September, formally became one organization on July 1, operating under one board and one senior regional leadership team, and identifying its members with a new brand logo that incorporate the Trinity Health colors and icons.
Mercy Health System will be rolled up into the new organization and retire its brand and organizational name.
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Mercy Philadelphia Hospital will continue to serve patients at their campuses under one operating license using the new names of Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Fitzgerald Campus and Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Philadelphia Campus. Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia will retain its name, as will Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del., and St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.
“This unified brand will help to visually connect our facilities and services for the communities we serve and show our strength as a regional organization. Our commitment to our mission, our patients and our communities remains as strong as ever – and builds on our foundation of faith,” said James L. Woodward, president and CEO of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. “While we work to enhance our regional structure, our patients can continue to see the doctors they have come to know and to receive the compassionate care they deserve.”
