Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic chief clinical officer appointed to HAP board

Dr. Sharon Carney, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic senior vice president and chief clinical officer, has been appointed to the board of directors for The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), a statewide membership services organization that represents 235 hospitals as well as the patients and communities they serve.

HAP’s 28-member board is made up of health care leaders from across the commonwealth. The board sets the association’s strategic direction and priorities relating to fostering a robust hospital community and promoting access to high-quality care across the commonwealth. Board members serve three-year terms.

As Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic’s chief clinical officer, Carney provides strategic oversight for patient safety and zero-harm, value-based care through care transformation, community health and well-being, medical staff services and Graduate Medical Education across the system.
