Town and Country Players present “The Miracle Worker” at Hansell Park

Posted

Town & Country Players will close out its “Summer in the Park” series with the Tony Award-winning show, “The Miracle Worker,” which tells the true story of blind and deaf Helen Keller and her remarkable teacher Annie Sullivan.
Annie, the unlikely Miracle Worker, fights to reach Helen and bring light to her darkness. It takes all of Annie’s patience, creativity and firmness of spirit to bring about the transformation of Helen, the trapped wild creature, into Helen, the brilliant and communicative child. All ages will be inspired by this story of perseverance and triumph of the human spirit.

Admission to the “Theater in the Park” series is free, but donations will be accepted either at the show or through the web page townandcountryplayers.org/donate.html.
There will be two performances of “The Miracle Worker”: 5 p.m. Saturday, July 31 and 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1. The Hansell Park amphitheater is located at 5069-5165 Hansell Road, Doylestown (Buckingham Township). Guests should bring lawn chairs or blankets.
