Town and Country Players present “Clue: On Stage”

Posted

Continuing its 75th Anniversary Season, Town and Country Players brings a classic board game and motion picture to the stage with its production of “Clue: On Stage,” written by Sandy Rustin, and directed by Susan Galli.

In the play, as in the movie and game, six guests assemble at remote Boddy Manor for a dinner party.

When their host turns up dead, Wadsworth the Butler (Kevin Palardy), Miss Scarlett (Roseann Enwright), Professor Plum (Jeremy Weir), Mrs. White (Melissa Mongi Copestake), Mr. Green (Sean O’Neill), Mrs. Peacock (Kyla Donnelly) and Colonel Mustard (Paul Waldowski) must race to find the killer.

The comedy ensues, and escalates, as the body count piles up.

“This show features some of the best comedic talents you could find anywhere, and it happens to be local,” said Sarah LeClair, producer of “Clue: On Stage.” “For anyone who knows our theater space, you should come in excited to see how we transform the stage into a multi-room period mansion. This set is as gorgeous and staggeringly creative as the cast,” LeClair added.

“Clue” is the comedy whodunit for both fans, and newcomers, as the characters try to figure out…Who did it, Where, and with What!

“I don’t think any potential audience members are ready for how much laughing they will do. From start to finish this production will offer countless moments of comedy and many surprises along the way!” said Stage Manager Julie Massa.

“Clue: On Stage” runs weekends Sept. 30 through Oct. 15. Town and Country Players is on Route 263 in Buckingham. Curtain time is 8 p.m. for Friday and Saturday evening shows and 2 p.m. for Saturday and Sunday matinees. For information and tickets, visit townandcountryplayers.org or call 215-348-7566. Tickets are $25.
