Tom Orr plans comeback special solo show at Rrazz Room

Posted

Bucks County’s own Tom Orr performs a “Comeback Special,” his first solo show in 10 years, at 8 p.m. March 5, at Rrazz Room at the Centre Bridge Inn in New Hope (Solebury Township).
Orr has been singing professionally for over 40 years in theaters, clubs and cabarets. Now he’s back in “Tom Orr – Sing for Your Supper,” this time with award-winning Broadway music director Gary Adler.
Orr first got paid for singing in Philadelphia dinner theaters, where he first used the motto, “Sing for Your Supper.” Since then he’s been an actor, singer, director, producer and cabaret artist from Philadelphia to New York and Atlantic City.

He has appeared at the Claridge Hotel-Casino, the Kimmel Center, the Media Theatre, the Montgomery Theater, the Walnut Street Theatre, the Arden Theatre, the Surflight Theatre, the Bucks County Playhouse, and the Bristol Riverside Theatre, where he did several shows with Adler.
Adler is a conductor, pianist and composer in New York City. He served as the music director/arranger for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for eight years. He also was music director of “Avenue Q” for its six-year run on Broadway. As a writer, Adler received two 2005 Drama Desk nominations for his music and lyrics for the off-Broadway hit “Altar Boyz.”
