Tinicum Township celebrates Earth Day

Posted

A gala celebration of Earth Day 2024 will take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 21 at the Tinicum Township Community Park on Tohickon Valley Road and Route 611 in Ottsville.

The event will feature live music, games for kids, vendor demonstrations and electric eco-friendly vehicles on display. Visitors can play mini-golf, enjoy the half-mile walking path that winds around a bluebird trail and a demonstration wetland, and have their questions answered about conservation easements, solar installations, native plants and more.

Attendees are also invited to take a chance on a raffle (free) for, among other things, a booklet on identification of invasive plants, a pollinator poster and a handmade teepee built on site as they watch. One lucky family will go home with a teepee for summer fun for the kids.

There is no charge for admission. Water and sun tea provided free.
