TileWorks of Bucks County hosts Tile Festival

Posted

The TileWorks of Bucks County presents the 22nd Tile Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 21, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 22.

For two days, the building and grounds at the TileWorks will become a marketplace of bespoke contemporary, vintage and antique tile displayed by makers and collectors from around the country.

In addition, there will be demonstrations, free tours of the TileWorks, and activities for the “Tile Curious.” Local food trucks will be available for visitors. An entrance fee of $7 will be collected at the gate and will go toward historic restoration of the site.

The Tile Festival was introduced in 1998. Co-hosted by The Tile Heritage Foundation and the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works.

The TileWorks invites the entire community: artisans, makers, collectors, historians, architects, designers, industry partners, homeowners, and future tilemakers to its grounds.

The TileWorks looks forward to hosting approximately 30 artisans and tile-makers who work all year to make ceramic tiles and make their annual pilgrimage to the TileWorks. Programming for the event is still growing.

For information, email info@thetileworks.org.

The tile festival returns to Doylestown May 21 and 22.
