A fourth victim of the torrential rain that caused flash flooding in Upper Makefield Township on Saturday has been found, according to authorities.
Late Sunday morning, the body of an adult female was recovered in Houghs Creek near Taylorsville Road, an area of severe flash flooding Saturday. No further information has yet been released.
Two children, a 9-month-old baby and another child are still missing in the deadly event, according to Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck.
The oldest victim is 63 years old. It was unclear Sunday afternoon, if that was the person found in the creek. None of the deceased have been identified.
“We don’t know if there will be more people found as the water recedes,” said Buck Sunday morning.
Upper Makefield Township Police issued a statement at 6 a.m. Sunday said the worst of the flooding occurred on Washington Crossing Road — “along Rt. 532 in the area of Stonebridge Crossing Road between Aqueduct Road and Wrightstown Road.”
“Many” motorists were trapped by the flood.
One woman, trapped in her vehicle, was rescued by first responders.
The police department indicated on Sunday that search efforts for the missing individuals were still ongoing.
The department also reported that River Road by Francisco’s On the River is closed and the same road is also closed between Route 532 and Mt. Eyre Road.
Taylorsville Road is also reportedly closed from Route 532 to Route 295.
