On Monday June 13, at approx. 6:50 p.m., Doylestown Township Police were dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 1807 S. Easton Road for the report of an attempted carjacking that had just occurred.

The victim was beginning to pump gas when three young black males approached and ordered the victim to turn over the keys. After an attempt to physically restrain the victim, the victim was able to break free and run inside the gas station for help.

Witnesses said they saw three young black males walking south on Easton Road in the area of Warrington Township.

At approx. 8 p.m., Warrington Township Police were dispatched to the Luk Oil gas station located at 1400 Easton Road for the report of a carjacking that had just occurred.

The victim of the carjacking was beginning to pump gas when approached by a young black male, later to be identified as a juvenile. At the same time, two other young black males approached the victim from behind; they were later identified as another juvenile and Johnson.

The victim was placed into a chokehold, pulled backward, and punched several times, at which point, the victim threw the keys at the vehicle. Both juveniles and Johnson fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Warrington Police observed the vehicle with the three suspects near the intersection of routes 202 and 152, a few miles from the Luk Oil gas station. Police initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle fled.

Police followed the last known direction of the vehicle, and found the vehicle crashed into a building at the intersection of Route 152 and East Butler Avenue in nearby Chalfont. All three subjects fled from the vehicle and shortly after were taken into custody due to Warrington Cpl. Blanchard with K-9 Jolie successfully tracking the fleeing individuals from the crash scene.

Johnson was charged with robbery and theft of a motor vehicle, a second count of robbery, unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles, and simple assault, and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail, 10% of $500,000. The two juveniles were placed in Juvenile Detention.

The three have also been charged with the attempted carjacking that took place in Doylestown Township earlier in the evening.
