“The Roving Grammarian,” Ellen Jovin (“Rebel with a Clause”): Grammar Table and Author Talk

Meet whimsical and entertaining grammar expert Ellen Jovin, recently profiled on CBS News and in an upcoming documentary film, as she sets up her traveling pop-up Grammar Table on the Bookshop’s patio and then gives a breezy interactive talk about grammar.

Ellen Jovin, by day a communications-skills trainer, has a mission. After her spontaneous Grammar Table outside her apartment was unexpectedly mobbed with grammar advice-seekers, she took the idea on the road, visiting most of the fifty states and writing the book "Rebel with a Clause: Tales and Tips from a Roving Grammarian."

Her hobby has gotten a lot of attention, including an interview with NPR's Scott Simon and the "Rebel With A Clause" documentary film (tagline: "We have so much in comma!").

Ellen will set up her Grammar Table in front of the Bookshop from 4:30 to 6pm. Then, she will give an interactive talk, with loads of humor and grammar questions, at 6:30.
