The Newtown Business Association will host Newtown Welcome Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 on Sycamore and State streets.
The event drew 5,000 people to Newtown in the past. Artists, crafters, vendors and activities for families are organized by members of the NBA. Admission is free.
This year’s event will feature music from mariachi to rock ‘n’ roll and demonstrations from a local Chinese dance group, fencers, Action Karate and more.
This year’s lineup of musicians includes Courtney Colette and Stan Stoller, the Back Porch Jug Band, Entheos, Curt Lippe, Claudia Pellegrini, Avi Wisnia, Jill Salkin, Mark Sherman and more.
Balloon artists, face painters and crafters will be available. The Cornhole Corner will donate proceeds to Ukrainian relief efforts.
