“The Kitchen Witches” plays on stage

Posted
DCP Theatre presents “The Kitchen Witches” by Caroline Smith, directed by Emma Beckers, Feb. 1 through 16.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, with a special Valentine’s Day performance at 8 p.m. Feb. 14, at 795 Ridge Road, Telford.

The director’s opening weekend – That’s Italian! – offers wine, appetizers, and more Feb. 1 and 2, with Tiramisu, on Feb. 3. Themed food events are planned for the balance of the run. The Valentine’s Day performance includes champagne, roses and candy hearts.

Dolly’s cooking show has aired for the final time. She and her son (and producer), Stephen, are discouraged to have their careers end so soon. However, during the last show, Dolly’s culinary nemesis, Isobel, makes an unexpected appearance which turns things around.

While Dolly and Isobel cook, whipped cream flies as shocking facts about their pasts are revealed. Each woman thinks she is the better cook. Be a part of the audience that gets to decide.

“The Kitchen Witches” is part of Philly Theatre Week. Tickets are available at the door, at dcptheatre.com or 215-234-0966. Groups of 10 or more may email boxoffice@dcptheatre.com for a reduced rate.
