The Farm Cooking School hosts 4th of July retreat

Posted

The Farm Cooking School in Titusville, N.J., announces its upcoming Culinary Retreat during the 4th of July weekend.
Students will immerse themselves in a relaxed but intensive weekend of cooking and have free time to explore this little known oasis of river towns in Central New Jersey.

The weekend includes six cooking classes, a farm to table dinner, a picnic on a local orchard, and the chance to check out the historic artist communities of Lambertville, N.J., and New Hope, across the river. For information go to thefarmcookingschool.com/travel-to-the-farm.

The Farm Cooking School, run by cookbook authors and former Gourmet Magazine food editors Ian Knauer and Shelley Wiseman, was established in 2014. The school has been successfully teaching adults and children how to cook international food while prioritizing organic vegetables from Roots to River Farm, owned and run by Ian’s wife, Malaika Spencer.

The price for the weekend, including all activities is $1,000. Lodging is separate and the school will suggest places to stay in Lambertville, 10 minutes from the school. The weekend is limited to 10 students. Transport can be arranged if you do not have a car.
