The Crossing supports crew of USS Stockdale

Posted

The Crossing Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) in Washington Crossing, has embarked on a schoolwide project to provide care packages to the crew members aboard United States naval ship, USS Stockdale (DDG 106).
Through Oct. 15, CCNS families and staff are donating nutritious snacks, notes and artwork made by children, teachers and families. The care packages will be delivered to the 330 sailors aboard the ship, including local hero, Lt. j.g. Hailey Burns, who operates as a damage Control assistant officer in the Engineering Division.
The USS Stockdale, a guided missile destroyer in the United States Navy, is currently on a seven-month deployment at sea. The ship was named after VADM James B. Stockdale, a Medal of Honor awardee and one of the most highly decorated officers in the history of the U.S. Navy.
