Posted
The inaugural Art of the River Towns exhibition, sponsored by River Towns Magazine, is set to open at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton N.J., on Thursday, Oct. 1. In the weeks leading up to the show, the Herald will feature one of the local artists accepted for entry.

This week, we are highlighting Renee Pelletier Egan of Yardley, an award-winning artist and a founding member of the Artists of Yardley.

She recently retired from the New Jersey public school system, where she taught art to middle and high school students for 20 years.

During Egan’s early career at an ad agency in New York City, she worked as an art director for print ads and TV commercials. She was educated at the Paier School of Art in Connecticut and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Later she went back to school and earned a degree in Art Education from The College of New Jersey.

Egan continues to show her paintings throughout Bucks County and Eastern coast venues. She is a member of AOY Art Center, Artsbridge, and The New Hope Art League, where she shows her work in their juried shows. Egan continues to teach part time at The Artist of Yardley and privately.
