The Art of the River Towns Artist of the Week: Diane Greenberg

Posted
The inaugural Art of the River Towns exhibition, sponsored by River Towns Magazine, is set to open at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton N.J., on Thursday, Oct. 1. In the weeks leading up to the show, the Herald will feature one of the local artists accepted for entry.
This week, we are highlighting Diane Greenberg of New Hope, whose art displays versatility and accomplishment in the various mediums of pencil, watercolor, oil paint and colored pencils.

“Her favorite subjects,” Greenberg says in her artist statement, “are animals, people, flowers, fruit and of course the wonderful landscape all around Bucks County. As an artist, she attempts to paint the light that reveals these forms. Reflecting light on water is another favorite to depict.”
Greenberg’s work has been accepted into many regional and juried shows and has won numerous awards. She attained signature membership into the Philadelphia Water Color Society in 2013. A drawing of her daughter was accepted for publication in the book “Strokes of Genius 7: Depth, Dimension & Space.”

Greenberg’s many commissions of people and pets can be found in private collections around the world. Her work is also in the permanent collection of the Trenton City Art Museum, Ellarslie.

Co-chairs Pearl and Chuck Mintzer, have helped to launch the Art of the River Towns Online Sales Gallery at rivertownsmagazine.com.
New work will continue to be added through early October and the online sales gallery will be available until the end of October.
