Taste fresh-pressed grapes at Bucks County Wine Trail Harvest Celebration

Posted

Visitors are invited to come and taste the fruits of local winemakers’ labor during the Bucks County Wine Trail’s annual Harvest Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9.

In addition to sampling a variety of award-winning locally made Bucks County wines, guests can taste freshly pressed grape juices that have not yet fermented into wine.

Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery will offer live music and food trucks during the weekend. Guests can take part in a grape stomping activity. Seasonal favorites Smash’n Pumpkins wine will be served as will warm spiced Applenoonie Apple wine.

Complimentary wagon rides around the vineyard will be available (first come, first served) from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, Bishop is offering two seatings for its fall cupcake and wine pairing, which features three wine-infused cupcakes paired with three wines. Visit the winery online for tickets.

Buckingham Valley Vineyards will serve complimentary fresh grape juice and donuts throughout the weekend. Wine slushies, cold wine and light snacks available will be available for purchase. Live music will be available on Sunday, weather permitting.

Crossing Vineyards and Winery will have live music both days; seasonal cocktails and specialty food and wine pairings, this weekend only; and a 10% discount and cloth wine bag offered on a purchase of four bottles.

Rose Bank Winery will have live music from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday.

At Rushland Ridge Vineyard & Winery, guests can sample fresh-pressed Traminette grape juice, along with seasonal cookies. With every paid wine tasting, folks can pick a pumpkin (while supplies last).

Sand Castle Winery will serve its Burčák wine, a baby wine produced only two weeks ago. The refreshing, bubbly wine is slightly carbonated. On Sunday, Sand Castle will host live music and have bratwursts available for purchase.

Harvest Celebration hours and events vary for each winery. Check the winery for specific details.
