Tamara Warren

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Tamara Warren of Solebury Township, PA on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was 53.

Born in Newark, OH, Tamara resided in Monroeville and Mechanicsburg, PA before moving to Solebury Township in 1995.

Tamara was a 1986 graduate of Gateway High School, a 1990 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Recreational Therapy, and a 1996 graduate of Temple University with an M.S. in Education. From the years 1990 to 1994, Tamara worked as a recreational therapist at Kane Hospital and Mechanicsburg Rehabilitation Hospital. In 1998, Tamara was the TR director at the River’s Edge Nursing Rehabilitation Center. She loved to play and teach cello, support the arts in her local community, garden, and collect shells on the beach. She also was an adaptive ski instructor in the Pocono mountains, which is where she met her husband, John.

She was the beloved wife of 24 years to John Henry Warren III; devoted mother of Katherine and Thomas Warren; adored daughter of Ralph Wayne Getz (deceased) and A. Charlene Taylor Getz; dear sister of Wayne (Kelli) Getz and Janice (David) Simeone; loving aunt of Jessica (Chad) Klaus, Chase Getz, Renee and Nicole Simeone; cherished grand aunt of Landon, Grady and Alayna Klaus; also survived by a half daughter Stacy (John) Mitchell and their children, Evan and Ryan Mitchell. She will also be lovingly remembered by many other relatives from both the Getz and Warren families, and countless close friends and colleagues.

The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at 7:00 pm. A livestream will be made available starting at 6:45 pm via the Funeral Home’s website. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors and a properly fitted medical mask, and to attend virtually if they are high-risk or sick in any capacity.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
