Tabby’s Place is recruiting volunteers

Posted

If you love cats and want to make an impact, Tabby’s Place has an opportunity for you.

Tabby’s Place is a cage-free sanctuary for cats in hopeless situations. Located in Ringoes, N.J., this haven has embraced the neediest cats from around the globe since 2003. Tabby’s Place is currently home to 100 cats.

The sanctuary is expanding to accommodate two of the most underserved groups of cats: cats infected with feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and newborn kittens. Both groups have little hope and limited options, as most shelters do not have the resources to care for them.

Tabby’s Place’s expansion, called Quinn’s Corner, will be home to approximately 50 additional cats … and these newcomers will need devoted friends. To provide the highest level of care for its new residents,

Tabby’s Place needs volunteers to join their team. Volunteers are needed to spend 2-3 hours a week helping care for little ones in need.

Volunteer roles include feeding the cats, cleaning their rooms, washing dishes, doing laundry, cat socialization (helping the cats to feel loved and secure), and being a tour guide, among many other options and special programs. Numerous shifts are available to fit a wide range of schedules and abilities.

To apply to be a volunteer, visit tabbysplace.org/volunteering/ and submit an application at tabbysplace.org/volunteer-2/application-form/.
