Tabby’s Place commemorates Betty White Day with donor challenge

Posted

In celebration of Betty White Day 2023, Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary invites animal lovers to “honor Betty … and your Betty.”

A year ago, the world celebrated Betty White’s 100th birthday. Her century of kindness inspired the Betty White Challenge, calling on golden hearts to support their favorite animal shelters.

In honor of her 101st birthday, Jan. 17, Tabby’s Place challenged donors to celebrate “their Betty” – the person or cat who changed their lives and taught them the meaning of love. Through Jan. 21, donors can honor their loved one with a brick on the Tabby’s Place Memorial Walkway for $250, reduced from the usual $500.

Located in Ringoes, N.J., Tabby’s Place is a cage-free sanctuary for cats from hopeless situations. The sanctuary embraces the neediest cats regardless of age, medical issues, or temperament, with a particular focus on special needs cats. At any given time, 30-40% of Tabby’s Place’s residents have chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease and paraplegia.
