Susan Ann Topper Beans

On Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, Susan Ann Topper Beans passed away peacefully at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family at the age of 82.

Born in York, Pa., Susan was the cherished mother of Beth Beans Gilbert and her husband Chris, Barbara Beans, and Jennifer Beans Keiser and her husband Rick, and the beloved daughter of the late Linus B. and Anita Thelma Sipe Topper. Susan was blessed with many wonderful memories during her life, but what brought a smile to her face and a twinkle to her eyes were her 10 beloved grandchildren; Lauren Soverino and her husband Connor, Gregory Murray and his wife Michelle, Alexandra Gilbert, Christopher Gilbert, Chase Keiser, Tyler Gilbert, Connor Keiser, Paige Gilbert, Carter Keiser and Charlie Keiser. Her dear sister, Tina Yoder and her husband Tad also survive her.

She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Indianapolis Indiana in June 1957 and went on to attend Seton Hill University where she studied home economics. In life, Susan had a passion for creative endeavors, and was skilled at the art of painting, needlepointing, crafting and knitting. She was an avid bridge player, gardener and voracious reader. With family and friends, she traveled all across the world. Skilled in the kitchen with both cooking and baking, she loved to entertain loved ones in her beautiful home. Susan volunteered frequently at Doylestown Hospital and also served as an elder at Doylestown Presbyterian Church. A regular attendee of church service, her faith was of utmost importance, a dedication she shared with her family and friends. Susan also volunteered for the church’s 456 Club for several years, attended Bible Study, and served as a Stephen Minister. She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile that would brighten any room, and her benevolent spirit.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022 from 10 a.m. until her funeral service at 11 a.m. at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, located at 127 E. Court St. Doylestown, Pa. The interment will be Private.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials in her name be made to the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, 595 W. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901) or Doylestown Hospital Hospice (595 W State St., Doylestown, PA 18901).
