Support for Solebury Township supervisor

Posted

As the expression goes, what you see is what you get. In the case of the Solebury Township supervisor election, I would submit that that is not the case.
During Kevin’s Morrissey’s 5+-year tenure, the board of supervisors has upgraded the township’s ambulance and emergency services, conducted a thorough review of our police department’s policies and procedures, hired our first two full-time female officers, preserved many acres of land, and greatly expanded Solebury’s system of parks and trails.
And all of this was accomplished while raising the township’s financial ratings, which significantly reduces borrowing costs. Kevin has been the leading voice in the township on keeping the New Hope Crushed Stone quarry from becoming an environmental nightmare. All of that is plain to see.

But what Kevin does behind the scenes is even more impressive. Across the township, he is seen as the go-to supervisor when residents have problems or questions. He invariably helps get the problem solved or the question answered –either directly or by bringing in the appropriate party to address it.
Bottom line: Solebury Township needs Kevin Morrissey for another six years.
