Street Road death under investigation

Posted

Shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Warrington police said, they received a 911 call of a person lying face down and not moving on an embankment along westbound Street Road at the Neshaminy Creek Bridge between Valley Road and Paul Valley Road.

Warrington Ambulance arrived with Warrington Police and pronounced the man dead. Police said he is an African American man from Philadelphia. He has been identified, police said, but they are not releasing his name until family can be contacted.

Preliminary investigative information suggests the man may have been struck by a motor vehicle at some point in the overnight night hours. The Warrington Police Patrol Division, Detective Division, Highway Traffic Unit along with the Bucks County Crash Team Unit, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s office were on location investigating Wednesday evening. Westbound Street Road was closed at the time.

Anyone with information that could help the police with this investigation is asked to contact Corporal Michael Neipp or Sgt. Kevin Stebner at 215-343-3311.
