St. Andrew’s Episcopal Lambertville sets Evensong

Evensong for the season of Epiphany will be presented at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Lambertville, N.J., at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, an hour earlier than the church’s usual Evensong time.

This Evensong will commemorate the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple, also known and celebrated as Candlemas.

The choir of Saint Andrew’s Church will present music by Elizabethan composer William Byrd, also a Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by 21st century English composer Philip Stopford.

The next in this series of Evensongs at Saint Andrew’s Church will be 4 p.m. March 3. On March 10, the choir will present selections from J.S. Bach “Cantata 80 - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott” (“A mighty fortress is our God”) - with baroque orchestra at the 9:30 a.m. liturgy.

All are welcome.
