Spring Salon Awards announced at New Hope Arts

New Hope Arts’ Spring Salon continues through May 1, showcasing the diversity, expertise and wide-ranging interests of its professional artist membership.

The ranks of exhibitors swelled to over 140 participants this year – “the largest and most exciting display of regional and affordable art.” The exhibition, an annual rite of the season, includes new exhibitors, well-known artists and innovative techniques in painting, printmaking, sculpture and fiber arts.

• Susan MacQueen - Juror’s Choice

Juror Paul Murphy, is a collector, curator and co-owner of Sidetracks Gallery – an institution in New Hope for 15 years. Sidetracks – in addition to being a showcase for regional talent, noted Provincetown artists and eclectic media, was the host for the legendary “Naked in New Hope” exhibition from 2005 to 2020.

Sidetracks presence in the community is recognized as a part of the New Hope Arts 20th Anniversary year. New Hope Arts Spring Salon gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and by appointment. Masks are welcome but not required. Information is at newhopearts.org.
