Special pre-Valentine’s Day dinner and jazz concert offered

Posted

The historic Newtown Theatre, Relic on State, and the Eric Mintel Quartet are teaming up for a special pre-Valentine’s Day event that includes dinner at Relic followed by a jazz concert at the theater on Friday, Feb. 10.

The night begins at Relic at 5:30 p.m. when guests will dine on appetizers, salad, and a selection of fine red and white wines. This will be followed by a dinner of either filet mignon, salmon, or lobster gnocchi, capped off by dessert.

After dinner, guests will walk or drive three blocks to the historic theater for a live jazz concert by the Eric Mintel Quartet, which will begin at 8 p.m. The quartet has been playing its brand of jazz for over 25 years, primarily in the Philadelphia region but also for some notable jazz fans, including two U.S. presidents. The quartet has also performed at the Kennedy Center on several occasions.

Relic on State opened in 2020 and is located in the 300-year-old Thornton House. The restaurant is known for its chef-driven cuisine, award-winning wines, and exceptional hospitality.

Tickets are on sale for $150 per person for the dinner and concert (limited to 70 tickets) or $30 for the concert alone. Those who choose the dinner/concert option will have reserved seats waiting for them when they arrive at the theater.
