Souderton shop hosts fair trade Oriental rug sale

Posted

Ten Thousand Villages carries finely crafted, hand-knotted fair trade Oriental rugs.
Its Bunyaad rug collection from Pakistan helps preserve the rich cultural heritage of traditional rug-making in all its myriad forms and styles, ensuring both quality of life for artisans and quality of product for customers through the fair trade difference.
Rug customers acquire a beautiful piece of functional art, durable and easy to clean (thanks to the lanolin-rich wool). Artisans can focus on creativity, good materials, innovative designs and quality craftsmanship, knowing they are receiving a fair, living income for their work.

In short, fair trade produces quality, breeds empowerment, fuels creativity and fosters respect and peace.
Based in Lahore, Pakistan, the Bunyaad artisan group includes over 850 families from more than 100 villages.
Bunyaad rugs, pillows and tapestries are 10% off March 3 to 12—only in Souderton. Ten Thousand Villages is located at 781 Route 113 (Hilltown Township), Souderton. Store hours are: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
