Solomon’s UCC opens doors Sunday for live worship, continues online

Posted
Six and one half months after Solomon’s United Church of Christ closed its doors to in-person worship due to the global pandemic, it is reopening – with some changes to comply with CDC guidelines.

On Sunday, Sept. 27, Solomon’s UCC pastor, the Rev. Dorothy Shelly, is welcoming members, friends and neighbors to join her for the 10:30 a.m. service. Solomon’s address is 2990 Bedminster Road (Route 113), Perkasie. The church is located between Center School and Kellers Church roads outside Bedminster.

For those who are not yet comfortable gathering in the church, the service will be recorded and will be available on the church’s website, solomonsucc.org as well as its Facebook page.

Those who attend the Sunday services will find a different experience. Worshipers will be asked to distance by sitting in every other pew, use hand sanitizer upon entering the church and will be required to wear masks.

Other social traditions, such as shaking hands while passing the peace, will not take place until recommended by health agencies.
