Solebury crash injures three, two seriously

Two people were seriously injured in a head-on crash on Route 202 in Solebury Township Thursday evening, police said.

Township police were dispatched to the report of a two-vehicle traffic crash on Route 202 (Lower York Road) just north of Aquetong Road at around 8:15 p.m.

Preliminary investigation shows a white cargo van traveling southbound on Route 202 and a white Honda SUV traveling northbound on Route 202, when they collided head-on.

The operator of the white SUV, an adult male, and the adult female passenger of the SUV were both injured and transported to St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, with serious/critical injuries, police said.

The operator of the cargo van, an adult male, was transported to St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, with minor injuries.

Solebury Township Police Department was assisted on location by Central Bucks EMS, Lambertville New Hope Ambulance and New Hope Eagle Fire Co.

Solebury Township Police, in conjunction with the Crash Investigation Team from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, is conducting an investigation of this crash. Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or the involved vehicles traveling on Route 202 just prior to the crash is asked to contact investigators at 215-348-7400 or by leaving a tip on Solebury’s CrimeWatch website.
