Cooler temperatures, pumpkin spice and the crunch of leaves underfoot means Halloween is just around the corner, and Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres has opened once again.
Located on a 200-acre family farm near Newtown, surrounded by dark woods and fields of corn and pumpkins, Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres’ attractions are entirely open-air, in spaces with plenty of ventilation.
All participants must wear a mask when on the Sleepy Hollow property, and this year, the waiting lines, picnic tables and bonfires have been spread apart to facilitate social distancing. All actors will observe appropriate distances, and the “Clean Team” will regularly sanitize high touch surfaces.
Also this year, Sleepy Hollow is selling a limited number of tickets for each half-hour time-slot to maintain a safe capacity and eliminate long wait times. Ordering tickets online is the only way to guarantee entry. Once tickets for a time-slot are sold out, they will not be available at the ticket booth.
Order tickets now for a haunted experience featuring two walk-through attractions plus bonfires and live music. Venture down into The Hollow, through the abandoned gardens and deep into the winding crypts and catacombs that lie beneath the manor. An expansive cemetery and dark woods provide bone-chilling frights at every turn.
Dare to enter the gates of The Field and wander through the ruins of a bewitched village haunted by the ghosts of the outlaws and outcasts that lived there in the 1800s. Continue through the deserted section of the farm no longer in use after the tragic events of the past. There are plenty of new frights for 2020.
Gather up your family and friends and celebrate the Halloween season with some classic horror in an environment that has been prepared for your health and safety.
