ShopRite of Hunterdon County kicks off Spring Diaper Drive

Posted

Drive ShopRite of Hunterdon County this month kicked off its first Spring Diaper Drive in its five stores – ShopRite of Flemington, ShopRite of Greenwich, ShopRite of Clinton, ShopRite of Yardley and ShopRite of Bethlehem.

The drive, which collects $10 donations at checkout and runs through the month, will raise funds to purchase and provide infant, toddler and adult diapers for local families in need. The organizations that will receive the diaper donations include Penndel Food Pantry, the United Way of Hunterdon County Diaper Bank, Norwescap Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank. According to the Hunterdon County Diaper Bank, many families struggle to afford diapers for their infants and toddlers, and it costs about $1,000 for a one-year supply for one child.

“We thank all our customers for their generosity and support in meeting this important need for neighbors who are struggling to pay for necessities such as diapers,” said Joe Colalillo, president of ShopRite of Hunterdon County.
