Shad ’Tober Fest is canceled


In light of the catastrophic flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ida, The Greater Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce is canceling Shad Festival, known this year as Shad’Tober Fest, which was scheduled for Oct. 9 and 10 in Lambertville, N.J.
Board member Dina Fanelli has started a LotsaHelp-ingHands website to organize and disseminate grassroots help where it is needed. The number of volunteers already working tirelessly is Lambertville at its finest, the chamber said via email.
“As an organization, we realize flood mitigation will be a long-term project and we stand committed to seeing it through. We plan to assist in fundraising as well as putting together a group of qualified individuals to help residents and businesses navigate the necessary paperwork and insurance claims.”
