Sen. Bob Casey visits NOVA

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey recently visited the offices of Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA)in Jamison to learn about the organization’s programs and services, in particular those relating to child safety and well-being.

Staff members showcased their work for Casey in a roundtable discussion. Also present at this meeting was NOVA Board President Dot Gaboda and board member Bob Hills, co-chair of NOVA’s Public Affairs Committee.

During his time in the Senate, Casey has worked introduce legislation to protect vulnerable members of Pennsylvania communities.

“Far too many women, children and seniors are victims of crime in our society,” said Casey. “We must all work together to protect and support individuals who are vulnerable to abuse. That’s why I’m thankful for organizations, like NOVA, which provide vital prevention services to children and adults who are at-risk of abuse or have experienced trauma. I will continue to work with local, state and federal leaders to ensure that everyone can live safely in our communities.”
