United Way of Hunterdon County hosts a Super Tax Day at Lambertville Justice Center, 25 S. Union St., from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Super Tax Day offers those who still find themselves struggling an opportunity to get their taxes done at no cost through United Way of Hunterdon County’s VITA Free Tax Preparation program.
In addition to saving on tax preparation fees, clients also may find themselves benefiting from the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
The VITA Free Tax Preparation program brought back over $2.4 million in refunds and credits to the Hunterdon community last year.
Participants also can get a financial wellness check-up and learn about job opportunities with the U.S. Census Bureau. Parents are encouraged to bring the children along. There will be lots of crafts and other activities for the little ones, and plenty of refreshments and door prizes.
VITA sites are located throughout Hunterdon County. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 2-1-1, x27, or 877-652-1148; visit uwhunterdon.org/schedule-my-tax-appointment to schedule on line.
To take advantage of United Way’s Drop & Go service, stop into the Justice Center Jan. 29 to check out the program, get your taxes prepared for free or schedule your tax appointment for later.
