Sally B. Davis

Sally B. Davis, 73, passed away with her loving family near her side on Thursday July 14, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Kenvil, N.J., Sally lived in Bound Brook, Warren, and for the past 15 years in Lambertville, N.J. Sally worked for many years as a nurse until she followed her exceptional talent for quilting and opened a fabric store called Quilt Connection in Berkeley Heights, N.J. Most recently Sally worked for an online fabric and quilt design retailer, Glorious Color. She was a member of the American Quilter’s Society and the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, N.Y.

She was also a passionate benefactor of The Seeing Eye in Morristown, N.J., an organization that trains service dogs for those who are visually impaired.

Daughter of the late Orville Bonness, Doris Zerbe, and stepfather Thomas Zerbe, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lloyd Davis; two daughters, Jennifer Dionne and her husband Ryan; Rebecca Davis Kravitz and her husband Ethan; her sisters Kathy Bielinski and Patricia Bonness; and her grandchildren Hannah Csontos, Madison Csontos, Taylor Dionne, Max Kravitz, and Zachary Kravitz.

A memorial service was held Monday, July 25, 2022 on Lewis’s Island in Lambertville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sally’s name to The Seeing Eye or The Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center or The Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville, N.J.
